Now we introduce the question word 'what'. Notice we are not using punctuation such as full stops and question marks. These are simple enough concepts for your child to pick up but for the moment, we will avoid distractions.
We have already introduced the words 'is' & 'this', only in a different context. See if your child can recognise them in a new context.
Finally, we add a bit of interactivity for your child and the new words 'yes' & 'no'. Make sure you point them out. The mischievous streak in your child may enjoy clicking the wrong answers -- 'no' is still one of her favourite words. This is fine as she is still learning -- 'yes' & 'no' are great play words for your child. You may want to give her a pencil and paper and let her write them herself.
We have designed these reading activities for children to do with their parents. The parent should lead the child but also encourage the child to participate. Ask the child to spell the words, read the words and combine the words. If there is any input required then encourage your child to type or click the mouse.
